The described system supports infrared learning, coordinated one-button operation and control through software or a panel. The ABS panel has 18 buttons. Interfaces include four programmable IR outputs and three microphone inputs.
AV switching consists of a 4 × 2 audio/video matrix with a stated 100 MHz video bandwidth and a 3 × 2 RGB matrix with a stated 400 MHz line driver. A programmable RS-232 interface can control a projector. A delay circuit coordinates projector shutdown with the motorized screen.
Microphone and master volume can be adjusted independently. The original C++ software lists Windows 9x, 2000, XP and NT compatibility. Optional network functions include remote equipment control, status feedback, batch commands and projector lamp-hour logging. An alarm system is optional.
The power arrangement separates mains and low-voltage circuits and includes control for a motorized screen and equipment power. The original article states a 12 V / 2 A supply.
